HYPERFLUID CIRCUMSTANCES / 2020
Performance, Installations
printed curtain, tube lights, clothing rack, perfume bottles, ventilator, room scent, ambient sound

The performance adresses the topic of immaterial/ affective work, which involves being friendly, smiling and caring; and is mostly still done by women.
This kind of work serves capitalistic mechanisms - with or without payment - and puts a lot of pressure onto the subject.

By involving the participants in an immersive way, the performance furthermore asks questions about individual vs collective responsibility, about the experience of alienation vs resonance.

Performers: Caro Otto, Steph Joyce, Annika Stoll
