Wühltisch

Installation, 2019
The rummage table filled with T-shirts is positioned as an object in the exhibition space.

The print motif of the shirts are logos of well-known fashion and luxury labels overlaid beyond recognition.

The T-shirts lie mixed up and crumpled in the rummage table, which reminds of the presentation of discount goods. During the exhibition, the T-shirts can be taken along by visitors* free of charge. After all T-shirts are out of stock, only a photo of the contents of the rummage table indicates their existence.

What value do we attribute to certain consumer goods? Under what conditions is there a willingness to identify with certain brands/ symbols?
